The sky – especially in the early mornings, evenings and when the stars are out;
Lookout for the resident woodowl, listen for the plaintive cry of a bushbaby at nightfall and many more sightings, both botanical and ornithological;
The sense of being comfortable in the wild without imposing;
While there are a few other lodges within the Weavers reserve, the likelihood of seeing any other guests is remote;
Conversation around the candlelit dining table or nightcaps on the deck surrounded by oil lamps;
Return to your room, run a bath, perhaps even persuade someone to join you. It’s romantic and you will be doing your bit for water conservation too!
